Auma M.I Dinymoi

PhD Fellow, Research

Auma M.I Dinymoi is a doctoral candidate at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. Her research focuses on enforcing the principle of reasonable accommodation in the employment of persons with disabilities in Uganda. She also holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (LL.M. HRDA) from the University of Pretoria, a Diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre and a Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B) from Makerere University.

She has over five (5) years of regional and global research on matters of relevance for the rights of persons with disabilities, including, most recently, the development of the UN Guidelines on Deinstitutionalisation. Auma has been engaged as a consultant researching, amongst others, Covid-19 litigation in Africa, as well as a myriad of other topics relevant to the furtherance of human rights on the continent.
