In Africa’s heart, where voices yearn,
A shadow falls, as tides are turned.
Where once were hopes for lives anew,
The Global Gag Rule claims its due
With whispered dreams of health in plight,
Women stand lost in the silent night.
Access denied to choices clear,
Their bodies burdened with unspoken fear.
In clinics dim, where care should flow,
The hands that heal now often slow.
But still they rise, with voices bold,
In unity, their stories told.
For every challenge, they seek the light,
Fighting for freedom, for what is right.
Though barriers loom, their spirits soar,
