Adanze Cynthia Nge

Adanze is a public health practitioner with a keen interest in health policies, universal health coverage, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). She is part of the African Public Health Student Network and a Ph.D. candidate in Public Health at the Dokuz Eylul University, Türkiye. She holds first-class honors from her Master of Public Health from the University of Buea, Cameroon.

Adanze has more than 6 years of experience working in the health sectors in Cameroon and Nigeria ranging from community fieldwork to training of volunteers on public speaking at various national and international platforms and developing content. She is an active advocate of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and SRHR for young people, especially on the African continent which has led her to work with some national and international bodies in that regard. She is the author of ‘Understanding the C in CSE’ and ‘Early Career in Public Health’.

As Martin Luther King JR once said, ‘Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane’. As a research fellow at Afya na Haki (Ahaki), I’m thrilled and eager to integrate my understanding of the legal and healthcare systems to improve my capacity to advocate for health equity.
