This paper draws lessons from the very few abortion cases in Africa, drawn from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Rwanda and Malawi. It does not focus on the particulars of each case, which was aptly accomplished under the Case Digest:
Abortion in Africa (Center of Reproductive Rights and Women’s Probono Initiative 2023). Rather, the paper provides lessons learnt from the collective decisions from Africa using a thematic approach.
