This brief provides practitioners in reproductive justice, public health law, and civil society advocacy with a rigorous legal assessment of the Draft African Charter on the Protection of the Family, Sovereignty, and Religious and Cultural Values. It identifies three structural legal weaknesses, explains why those weaknesses do not eliminate the policy threat, maps the threat pathways through seven analytical diagrams, and sets out targeted strategic responses.
